ATASC Children’s Day Festival Sunday, April 17, 2011

Let’s get together and celebrate the Turkish Children’s Day Festival (23 Nisan Ulusal Egemenlik ve Cocuk Bayrami) for all of Southern California.

ATASC & all the ATASC chapters together are organizing the Children’s Festival and Picnic at El Dorado Park in Long Beach on SUNDAY, APRIL 17, 2011, starting at 11:00 am. All children are invited to this festival with lotsa fun events for children.

There will be a picnic for all with Turkish food. We are suggesting a donation $10/per adult to cover the cost of the Turkish food provided. Free event to kids ages 0-12.

Please tell us whether you can attend or not; and how many adults and children will be coming. We need your response as soon as possible since we will order the food accordingly. And we want to know how many children are coming to have enough snowcones, cotton candy, prizes for the games, etc..

What will be provided?:

-Turkish food for adults, sodas, deserts & fruit, and tea. Kosher hotdog & healthy snacks for kids
-Turkish coffee,
-Children’s portrait- by photographer Mr. Tolga Guldas
-Entertainment for children (jump house, snowcone, cotton candy, face painting, Magician, and many races and games.
-Story telling by Miss. Tani Toprakci.,
-Singings of Turkish School Students, Poem readings, and more
– DJ Music & surprise singers.
-Tavla (backgammon) tournament
– Special Turkish Children’s Book collection display of Long Beach Sister City Project.
– More surprises are on the way.

You are all welcome to join. However, due to high numbers, we had to order the food already based on responses. You may bring the kids as the spirit of festival with costumes as well, since we have special photographer to take your kid’s personal photo at the event, it might be fun to be so colorful with the costumes, its totally optional.
