On April 23, Turks around the world will celebrate the Turkish National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. This day marks the 92nd anniversary of the Turkish Grand National Assembly which, under the guidance of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, paved the way to the establishment of the modern Turkish Republic. April 23 is also celebrated as the Children’s Day, to emphasize the unique role of younger generations in the Turkish pursuit of peace and prosperity.
