Turkish entry close to Oscars in February 2013
This year, Turkey’s entry to the Academy Awards, under the category of Foreign Language Films, is “Atesin Dustugu Yer”, with the English title “Where The Fire Burns”.
Screening will be held on December 17, 2012, Monday at 07:00 pm at the historic landmark Egytian Theater in Hollywood and the members of the Turkish American community are invited.
“It is very important to show our support for the Turkish entry to the Academy Awards. A full house with enthusiastic viewers will find an upbeat reflection in the Hollywood media which, in turn, impresses the jury. If we want to see the director Ismail Gunes and producer Baran Seyhan lift an Oscar in February 2013, therefore, I urge the members of the Turkish American community to please attend the screening. ” said Ergun Kirlikovali, the president of ATAA.
